what is your first response to a stressful situation? How do you handle conflict? Through out our lives we tend to approach these things with our instincts. We do what comes naturally, responding with what we have learned through out our own life experience. Has this method ever backfired on you? James tells us that we must first be wise. is that even possible?

The small things really do matter. This is true in all areas of our life. Yet why is it so hard to control these little things? what does this say about the state of our hearts?

Where is the hardest place to minister the gospel? What does it take to reach the world for the gospel? Are you compelled by the Spirit?

What does it take to change the world? Following the example of the church in Ephesus we can see what it takes to change the world for the gospel!

While Apollos was at Corinth, Paul took the road through the interior and arrived at Ephesus. There he found some disciples. Some Jews who went around driving out evil spirits tried to invoke the name of the Lord Jesus over those who were demon-possessed. They would say, “In the name of the Jesus whom Paul preaches, I command you to come out.

Paul arrives in Corinth. While making friends and living with Aquila & Priscilla he tries persuading Jews & Greeks that Jesus is the Messiah. How does this picture instruct us about our own lives?

Paul is distressed to find Athens full of idols. He debates with Epicurean and Stoic philosophers. At the Areopagus he brings the good news of the resurrection and attempts to teach them God made everything and is a God of the Heavens not of Temples.

Missioanries all over the world serve in courageous ways. What does it take for us to be the same right where we live?

What are we willing to do in order to reach others for Christ? Do you have stubling blocks that prevent your ministering to others?
