Within a weeks time Jesus at brought them to Jerusalem, celebrated the passover with them and was betrayed and arrested by one of their own. From that point on everything must have been a blur. Their master, teacher is arrest accused and falsely condemned to death on a cross. They watch the crowds that praised him turn on him and chant for his crucifixion. They follow him to the cross and watch him die. They bring him down from the cross and place him in the tomb. Three days later the women come and say that he has returned alive and well. He wants to have parting words with them. Would you pay attention at this point? How would you respond?

What it the main characteristic found in imitating Christ? In order to discover the truth to these answers we must look into the life of Christ and find his main motive here on earth. If we know the what was at the core of Christ motive we can then discover what should be at the core of our own motive for life and missions. In Luke we discover this motive. With it we discover the reason we do missions, and the hard reality in what it means to reflect Christ in our lives. Let us look into the Scriptures today to discover the truth found as Luke recall Christ at the Mount of Olives.

How have you responded to that call or How are you going to respond to that call?

What is your task? - Audio
22/08/2010 Duration: 1569h00show often to do you take the time to ponder? time to sit and observe the world around you? maybe marvel at an insect, the clouds, or even the stares. What would the result be in your life? It is quite possible that in our rushed lives we have forgotten to stop and smell the roses. even on vacation we work hard. going to the beach can be such a chore at times. checking off the packing list, loading everyone in the car, finding the parking spot, claiming the all important beach territory from which you must set us a small base camp, constantly being pulled into the water, sand or boardwalk and then fighting the traffic on the way home, arriving home to clean everything up in time for work the next day. We need a break from our vacations! what would the result be if you truly were non-productive for a day and had to stop and smell the roses? Maybe you would feel like the psalmist did? Possibly you would ponder the same things? Would it make a difference in your life?
