We know that one of the key attacks against this virus is social distancing. However, there is an unintended consequence of social distancing that I don't think anyone thought about when this strategy was developed. The purpose of closing offices, public gathering spaces such as stadiums, movies, and dining areas in restaurants is to minimize contact and spreading contagion, and that makes sense. But, churches are also gathering places, so church buildings are also closed. The unintended consequence is that many people are not attending church. They aren't attending physical church buildings nor are they viewing or listening to sermons that are televised, or recorded sermons being provided by their local churches. This is a critical unintended consequence for the Body of Christ. This message is important for shedding some light on what needs to be done during this challenging time in the lives of Christians....don't miss it!
