The heart you feel beating in your chest is vital to health in your physical body. But the spiritual heart of man as discussed in scripture is dealing with the spirit of man, or the true you, and its condition is vital to spiritual health. These scriptures show that the heart can become dull and hardened. Without a "good" spiritual heart, our sight becomes impaired, and our hearing becomes dull. This can prevent us from seeing and hearing from God and effects our ability to truly understand and benefit from God's Word.
