"Now that the Lord has blessed me with the Gift of Discernment, what do I do, how do I use it?" This is a question many of us have had concerning discernment. It is important that we know how to benefit from this Gift because it can keep us out of trouble and give us insights concerning things that may or may not be happening in our lives. If prayers are going unanswered, or things are happening in your life that you don't understand, you might not be using discernment concerning things in your life. Listen to this message that might have the answers you need.

"When the going gets tough, the tough get going." You've probably heard that expression before. But as a Christian, what does that mean? How are we supposed to respond when things in our lives get tough? As usual, the Word of God is well-stocked with wisdom and guidance to help us when things get tough. Resurrection Sunday, what does this mean and how the events impact our lives today.

Do we really know what the will of the Father is? This is too important a matter to assume that we do know God's will, and it is a matter that is too important for us to take someone else's word for it. Sometimes life is just hard. It can have challenges that start with a disappointment that spirals down into discouragement that is often hard to get past. A disappointment that is not dealt with and allowed to spiral down to become discouragement, is a scheme used by Satan because he knows that when we are discouraged, we will not be able to function as God wants us to function. If you have disappointments, this message is for you.

A letter comes in the mailbox, or you receive a phone call that brings bad news. With that bad news negative thoughts come in. Which path does it take? Do you let it stay in your mind where you dwell on it and let it bring in fear, worry, and stress, and you can't see a solution? Or do you take God's path and follow the steps outlined in scripture? James 4:8 says "Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you." (KJV). God tells us this because we need Him so much in our lives in order to enhance our spiritual walk with Him. Some would say this is easier said then done. Today's message will tell you how.

WE ALL WANT AND NEED GODLY GUIDANCE IN OUR LIVES, BUT HOW OFTEN DO WE SPEND TIME GIVING DEEP PRAISE AND WORSHIP TO GOD. IF YOU WANT GOD IN YOUR LIFE, LEARN HOW TO PRAISE AND WORSHIP HIM. DON'T MISS THIS IMPORTANT MESSAGE MEANT FOR YOU.

GOD IS DOING A NEW THING OUR LIVES FOR 2015. GOD WILL BE DOING HIS NEW WORK IN YOU WITH JESUS BESIDE YOU, AND HOLY SPIRIT GUIDING YOU. HOWEVER, IF WE ARE NOT CAREFUL, WE CAN BE SIDETRACKED OR DETERRED FROM FULFILLING GOD’S WILL FOR US. HOW CAN THIS HAPPEN? THE ENEMY WANTS YOU BACK INTO THE OLD STRESS-FILLED LIFE YOU MAY HAVE HAD IN 2014. ONE OF THE WAYS THE ENEMY CAN GET US OFF OUR GAME IS THROUGH CONTROL. GOD'S WORD CAN KEEP US ON TRACK.

This is a new season, a new journey in 2015 for us Christians, to be filled with Blessings and Victory. Some will have spiritual journeys, some will have physical journeys. The Word of God gives much guidance in preparation for your journey!

EVERYONE LOOKS FORWARD TO CHRISTMAS. MANY REFER TO IT AS A “MAGICAL” TIME OF YEAR. WE CHRISTIANS DO NOT BELIEVE IN OR PRACTICE MAGIC, BUT WE ALL AGREE THAT THIS IS A SPECIAL TIME OF YEAR. IT IS A TIME OF CELEBRATION…JOINING WITH FAMILY AND FRIENDS TO CELEBRATE THE BIRTH OF OUR LORD AND SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST, MARKED WITH THE GIVING OF GIFTS TO ONE ANOTHER. IN ALL THIS FESTIVITY, WE SHOULD REMEMBER THE WHY AND PURPOSE OF OUR CELEBRATION. OVER THE LAST FEW SUNDAYS WE TRACED THE REASON WHY GOD GAVE US THIS AWESOME GIFT (GRACE, BECAUSE HE LOVES US), AND HOW IT WAS PROPHESIED ALL THIS WOULD COME TO PASS.

WITH CHRISTMAS DAY, CELEBRATING THE BIRTH OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST BEING NEXT WEEK, IT WOULD BE GOOD TO THINK ABOUT THE SIGNIFICANCE OF HIS BIRTH. WE SHOULD FULLY UNDERSTAND THE IMPORTANCE OF HIS BIRTH AND ALSO SPEND SOME TIME REFLECTING ON HIS LIFE AFTER HIS BIRTH. THE BIRTH WAS JUST THE BEGINNING. HIS IMPACT ON MANKIND HAS RIPPLED THROUGH THE AGES AND CONTINUES TODAY. IT CONTINUES TODAY….IN OUR LIVES…TO BRING VICTORY TO US IN THIS LIFE. TODAY, JUST AS A REMINDER BEFORE WE LOOK AT THE BIRTH OF JESUS NEXT WEEK, LET’S LOOK AT JESUS A BIT TO SEE WHAT HE TELLS US AFTER HIS BIRTH.

SINCE THIS IS THE CHRISTMAS SEASON, LET US FOCUS ON WHY JESUS CAME IN THE FIRST PLACE. IN THE OLD TESTAMENT THE WORD SPEAKS OF SIN MAN HAD FALLEN INTO AND HOW THEY HAD PULLED AWAY FROM GOD. THEN WE SEE WHERE IT WAS PROPHESIED THAT GOD WOULD SEND A SAVIOR. FOR ALL THE YEARS UNTIL JESUS' BIRTH IT WAS A TIME OF EXPECTATION FOR DELIVERANCE. NOW THAT JESUS WAS BORN AND SITS AT THE RIGHT HAND OF THE FATHER, WE SHOULD BE STILL LIVING A LIFE OF EXPECTATION. EXPECTATION OF MIRACLES, DELIVERANCE FROM MODERN-DAY PROBLEMS, AND VICTORY OVER SITUATIONS. THIS IS INDEED A SEASON OF EXPECTATION!

Sometimes it is so hard to make decisions. As life becomes more complex and more demands are made of us, it becomes increasingly difficult to make good decisions. Life can become a blur and total confusion can set in. In order to eliminate confusion, we must understand its nature so that we can move to a state of confidence in our lives. The Word of God explains why and how.
