  • 163: Miracleman with Bruce

    09/03/2016 Duration: 01h28min

Miracleman was originally just a substitute for Captain Marvel created by Mick Anglo for British audiences of the 1950's, but in 1982 Alan Moore re-invented the character for modern audiences. Originally known as Marvelman, Miracleman went from a second rate impostor to one of the greatest examples of modern comic book heroes in just 16 issues, before being handed off to the wonderful Neil Gaiman for a second re-invention that is reaching a whole new generation of comic readers via Marvel reprints (and hopefully some forthcoming new stories). • 159: The Haunted Tank with Bruce

    03/02/2016 Duration: 59min

This week Bruce talks about one of the more bizarre concepts from DC's War comics, The Haunted Tank. This is a high concept comic about a World War II tank that is haunted by the ghost of a confederate general from the American Civil War, and it just happens to be crazy enough to work. Over the years the concept was re-imagined to better fit in an updated version of the DC universe, but one thing is constant - a Tank that is haunted is a crazy idea!
